1) There's an arrowed turn-wheel mounted to the top inside surface of my C300 Lux's glovebox. Car has iPod adapter. Can someone clue me in as to what it's for?
2) I'm old-school street racer & realized the 300 didn't have a gauge, but now it appears it doesn't even have an el-cheapo idiot light. Am I missing something? I haven't found anything in the literature about oil checking intervals (although for me, that would never be an issue). Just seems odd.

The arrowed wheel is to control the temp in the glove box (cooled drinks etc)

Yes, but you have a multi function speedometer display. I asked the service advisors and they told me I shouldn't even have to check the oil, it will tell you if the pressure is low or the level is low. I don't know what the message would look like, but apparently there is some monitoring going on behind the sceens, can anyone confirm this?

Yeah, I found it in the manual today. The malfunction display gives you the international symbol for the oil pourer & message reads, "Check Engine Oil At Next Refueling." Supposed to come on when level drops to "minimal" mark on dipstick. Details on page 430.Originally Posted by RickP330
