Has anyone taken delivery of a 2009 C350 yet? What is your impression of the acceleration? I was talking to the dealer over the weekend and he mentioned that MB was to have tweaked the drive-by-wire to lessen the “lag” between when you press the gas pedal down and the car downshifts (ie. To pass). Is this truly the case?

2009 C350 I ordered in June is arriving in Jacksonville, FL on Aug 10. Dealer told me about 10 more days until I get to pick it up.
I was told this is the first 2009 production for US

Quicker reaction sounds like something that is mentioned in this forum before but it was a Mod.

My own C350W will be delilvered in Germany on 9/8/08 but my dealer called to let me know that 2009 models were in and that I could come down to examine and take a test drive.

The dealer rode with me and so I was reluctant to drive too briskly given the 23 miles on the odometer. I tried both the comfort and sport modes and can't say that I noticed any difference from my prior rides in 2008's. If they retuned the throttle tip-in it must be a fairly subtle change.

The memory seat gizmo was nice and the surprisingly controversial "hooded" gauges looked just fine. The so-called "New" grey/black interior kinda looks ..... just like the "Old" grey/black; again it must be a very subtle change.

I'm not surprised considering nothing has changed performance-wise. In fact, very little has changed in general for the US market except the much awaited memory seat (singular).

Sounds like a flash/tune may be still needed then. Has anyone done the MKB tune that is suppose to take the 350 to 306 hp? They qoute 0-60 in 5.3 sec which would be good enough for what I am looking for out of a car, but the price is $2500+

But I would like some info on it as well
Anybody know if there is a thread about this. I can't seem to find one for a C350.
