Bullit style grille is here...

Just wanted to let people know I found a source for a Bullit style grille. It turns out Vath makes a carbon fiber one and sells for 990 euro. They don't have any U.S. distributor but they said you can buy parts direct from them. These pictures were sent to me by Vath, but unfortunatley the pictures do not show the detail of the carbon fiber, so I can't really see the weave pattern.

I loved the Brabus Bullit when I first saw pictures of it, and have been in search of a grille like it since. You know I think on a stock C, maybe the grille does not quite fit and I can see where you are coming from. I think this grille would look great on some of the modded C classes and C63s however.

Like the grill don't like the price. I'll wait for a far east version.

Looks great. The price is a little steep. I would like to see one made of OEM type plastic, not always CF. Not everybody wants CF. I guess you could paint it, but that would be a waste.

From the side the grill looks terrible.

I'm loving the engine cover though but as usual I'm sure price is outrageous.

Your right it does look awful. Seeing those pics I had seen this grill before just didn't register in my search as it wasn't pictured in CF.

It's pretty unique, but 990 euro ($1500us) is a lot

I really want that leather shift knob in those pictures...

Yeah side profile is a turn off. The engine cover is pretty cool though.

Are anyone of you that are interested in CF parts worried about how they are going to wear? A friend put a CF part (I think it was a mirror cover) on his VW a few years ago and it turned colors, had a old yellow look after about a year in the sun.

I had CF parts on my last two cars with no change in color and I owned both for over 5 years each. I would say it is the finish that changed colors.

I'm trying to decide which color to paint which grille myself (I have a lux grille also). Having the Steel Grey paint, I can't decide between color matching one of the grilles or painting it black. Then if I do black, will it be matte or glossy....

decisions, decisions....

Vath makes a bad decision putting it on a silver car. I hope that was just their mule.

Palladium Silver, Black, White would look good with the bullit style grille. I don't think it will look that good with any other color.

I don't really think the grille looks that great on THAT silver car I posted, however like I said earlier if the car is tastefully modified, then it is a better fit. From what I remembered, everyone loved the Bullit when it first appeared?

Seeing the new grille on a car with a WAY HUGE engine makes a whole lot of sense. In that application it's all about how much air you can let into the cooling system. That is why the bumper is designed for cooling also.

Just a grille on a stock car looks a bit 'deer hunter'.

Sidenote: Am I the only one that dislikes the Brabus front bumper? I love the Bullit bumper above, but I can't stand the one in the Brabus kit. It think it's the bug-eye quad fogs...
