I would also question the statement regarding how glad they are to do warranty work. MB pays them a lower per hour labor rate and less markup for parts (at least at my dealer) than we pay for non-warranty work.

I was reading on warrantiesgonewild.com and the earlier you purchase the better. I would purchase an extended warranty if it is only 1500 bucks....

That's what I did. Let them make the profit and that will enhance the rapport you have with them. As the other poster wrote, they have to honor any MB warranty but there are always the little things for you to consider that they might not have to do.
