Need help with hood emblem

Does ne body know where i can get a monochrome (just black and chrome if ya dont know

) hood emblem?? i know theres the affalterbach tree one in black and chrome but it says amg on it and i dont want to be a poser... and i the only ones i can find r that one and the black amg one and then theres the brabus one.. I just want a mercedes one.. help?????

Dude. I've been thinking along pretty much exactly the same lines as the above. I've been eyeing that AMG Affalterbach emblem for some time now (saw it on eBay even before the car's delivery), but I didn't wanna put a fake emblem up.

I've been looking everywhere for a monochrome flat hood emblem. It's been 9 months (since November 2007), and no luck. eBay no good and google no good. I keep checking though.

I'd also be very interested in one of these, if one's available at all. Anyone?

All he does is paint the star and u still have that blue rim. I want all monochrome.. For how long the flat hood emblem has been out IM really suprised its not out there.

I've seen quite a few BMWs running around with such emblems. I was looking at it while considering a 3-series for purchase. Why can't MBZ have one too?

i have no clue.. It bugs me. Ive seen the beamer emblem in red, white black, carbon fiber, blue and every other color. Someone needs to contact an emblem maker and tell them to make us some.

Thankfully for me, I love the way the blue in the emblem looks with my silver paint. As far as you guys getting the old style AMG emblem, I think that would be nice as long as you have the AMG body work. I know this comment might start a $h!t storm about AMG badges without the motor, but as long as you don't slap the big ///AMG on the rear, I think it would look nice.

I think tiniting the OEMs one that is on the hood is a bid tough since it has ridges but you can get the ones on EBAY where is is smooth across the whole emblem and should be able to tint that yourself.

hey, our sports wheels say amg on them. imo, the black amg hood badge is perfectly non-poser. it's not like you're gonna go around badging your car like it's a c63.

i'm a believer that there's a distinct difference in doing something like that to add to the aesthetics of the car vs. slapping on something to pretend it's something it's not. and i like to think that most of the people on this board understand that.

but i'm in the same boat as you. i'd really like a monochrome mb badge too...
