Hot deal on 2008 C350 or not? That is todays burning Question

Looked at everything under the sun. Was going to buy a Audi A4, but no deals & a wait list for any cars coming. Never been a Audi or Mercedes owner but have had plenty of Luxury cars, ready for something different. So, here's the deal:

2008
Palladium Silver
Black
P2 Pkg
Multimedia Pk
iPod Integration Kit
18" AMG Wheels
$40160 plus TT&L
2.9% financing (big plus)

Any opinions? Bring'em on.........

The M.S.R.P. of that vehicle should be $44,160 the invoice on that is $41,157. Sadly the shocker of it all is this is a 2008 model and 2009 models are out so if you look at what they would be willing to give you if you wanted to trade it in its a $36,875k car. Go to www.kellybluebook.com and arm yourself with some numbers and see if you can't get a better discount than that.

4 wheels
The dealer is probably discounting it more to move the car off the lot and make room for the 2009 models. If you like the car and don't mind spending about 40K out the door then its a good deal.

Check this thread, starting from post #423 on page 9:

IMHO, you should be able to do substantially better (at least on a cash deal).

There is $3,500 in trunk money from MB to dealers until Sept. 2, and you should be able to get almost all of that + the diff between MSRP and invoice -- it's the end of the month, and the end of the model year. Two others and I got $7.1 to 7.5k off MSRP this Summer on loaded C350's.

Good luck!

I test drove a 2009 Audi A4 3.2 Quattro. Very disappointed. I had such a high expectation since I own a 2006 A6 and it's great.

Interior is cheap looking. Everything is plastic, you can see and feel it.
The list HP is 265, but it feels much slower than the C350. Maybe the torque is lower. I was told by the sales that maybe 2.0T has higher torque than the 3.2.
I was gonna test drive the 2.0T, but when i saw the rear, it's only SINGLE side dual exhaust. I immediately decline to even test drive it.

I am so glad I bought the C350.

I tested the A4 2.0T Quattro last week and you don't need to test it - it is not an inspiring ride. I too thought it was going to be much better. They didn't have one with NAV so I couldn't compare multimedia features, but the wife nixed the idea and still wants the C350.

As for pricing, it probably varies by region, but I was offered a loaded 2009 C350 just arriving into the port for invoice price. Come to find out, it is $600 more than Edmunds "invoice" price due to a $600 advertising fee, but we bit the bullet anyway.

I don't understand why they even build the 2.0T with just single exhaust. they should have kept the dual exhaust style from last model.

I agree 100%. I saw that design error during my trip to Europe. There were lots of new A4's on the road, but the 2.0T has the exhaust on one side, albeit "dual". Looks like a big step backward.

Read this and found it ironic. Go back to the posts here around September of 07 and you could interchange the words Audi A4 with Mercedes C300. "Interior is cheap looking" "Everything is plastic" "Feels much slower"...lol almost a carbon copy..yet everyone has gotten over those details. I'm sure the A4 is better than the car it replaces just like the C300, but I do have to admit they didn't stray too far from what the old A4 was. I realize if its not broke don't fix it, just fine tune it, but if its an all new car...I want an all new car..or at least make it look like it is as in the case of the C300.
