Few Questions about C300 Sport - going to buy in US and moving to EU
Hello all,
I am new to this forums, I am going to buy C300 Sport from US and take it to European Union where I live. I got few questions and it will be cool, if anyone did this before me and can share some info about it.
I am not sure about brake light color in US, is it red like here?
Are there any modifications needed to run car in EU?
I am also not sure about warranty after moving car to EU, is it all the same or are there any limitations? Dealer sells it with 48 month warranty in US, but we use to get only 24 months in EU + some free services.
Thank you in advance for any informations and have a good day.

Welcome to the forum.
First, is this because you are going to be staying/living in the US for a while? If you're just trying to save money, it seems odd that you'd in effect be paying for trans-oceanic transport twice. Maybe you could get "european delivery" and pick it up at the factory, avoiding at least one-half of the shipping cost.
Second, it is entirely possible that US dealers would not allow you to purchase the car unless you are a US citizen with an in-state license.
Good luck.

The best thing you can do is check with youyr country's requirements for required modifications needed for your car as well as the fees you are responsible for. And no, you will not get a US or your home country warranty. If anything you will wind up with an international warranty.

Much easier, I'm sure, if you buy a used car from a private party and take that one home with you.
There are people already selling used 2008 C-class sedans at a big discount from brand new prices.

Red... Brake lights are always red. In Canada, the rear turn signals are also red if you have a C300/350 since they are LEDs. For the C230, the rear turn signals are, I believe but never seen, amber. In EU-spec Cs, the rear turn signals are always amber, I believe. In the US, LED rear turn signals are also red. Not sure about the Cs without the LED tail/HID.
