Well my diffuser finally arrived last night and I must say I am extremely disappointed. The quality of work is very poor and the fit is also poor. To begin CarbonLux has to learn how to communicate with his customers I would ask for updates and not here for days. When he finally told me he shipped he supplied no tgracking number or even who the shipper was.
OK on to the diffuser, there are white flakes in the resin as well as air bubbles and a loose thread of fiber. The resin layer is also very thin and rough to the touch, not like any other piece of CF I have handled.
When I tried to fit it well lets say it would not have been as difficult if the edges were straight and not warped. I'll let the pictures talk.

Fitted just to see how it would look.

I learnt a very expensive leason. Don't purchase parts like this without seeing at least a prototype of the finished product. So how long will Carbn Fiber last in the landfill?

Apart from the workmanship, the diffuser seems somewhat "plain jane". The C63 one has more character, channeling air and such. I guess I'd have expected some of that "character" in a diffuser designed for the stock exhaust.
Sorry about the bum deal.

Is it carbon fiber or is it plastic with cf overlay? I can't believe someone could sell something like that. Especially to a Mercedes owner (don't people know we have OCD?)
Sorry.

X3 and 2012 C coming soon
Sorry about your diffuser. Try to get a refund. If you used paypal or a credit card, you should be okay. You have enough evidence to prove it's not a good product.
I learned a lesson like that when I bought my trunk spoiler off of ebay from seller located in Taiwan. I waited 21 days to get a refund, and that was after I filed a dispute. The guy then emailed me and asked me to end the dispute because ebay was really hammering him with inquiries. He said it hurt him.

Carbon fibre is difficult to clearcoat, because CF isn't flat and always has holes and things. So the clearcoat have bubbles and is rough....
I'm in motorcycle business and if i order CF rear huggers for customers i always tell them that....
Most of the perfect CF product without the bubbles and rough surface are not 100% CF.
But i must say, yours looks extremely... and the scratch isnt normal... and if i look at the warped edges it's![crazy](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/crazy.gif)
So send it back and try to get refund, because this isn't right....

is this a stick-on or a direct replacement?
If it is a stick-on I worry about all the dirt and water that gets kicked up from the rear wheels and getting in between the stock and CF pieces.
