New formymercedes rear spoiler?
I've been looking for a new spoiler and noticed that in multiple threads, people who have bought formymercedes spoilers have thicker, bigger spoilers than OEM.

The pics show a spoiler that isn't as thick or round as the ones people have been posting up. Anyone know if this is a new replica that is more like OEM?

they sell 2 versions of the spoiler. either the 3 piece or the oem replica. the link you posted is of the oem replica which is exactly like the oem. i bought mine from this same website and it matches perfectly. there is also another aftermarket version out there on different sites that looks thicker and rounder, but that is not what is being sold on formymercedes anymore.

That's right. I have the new spoiler and absolutely love it. I started with the more rounded one but they were not molded right so Jerry replaced it with this one. Fantastic fit and quality. Even the dealership was asking where I got it.

Yeah, that spoiler's been around for a few months now. That's my ride on his website. I got it back in April. The quality of the paint and spoiler is outstanding. So is the customer service from Jerry.

That's where I am getting my next one from. Jerry indicated is an OEM replica. I bought one from Taiwan and returned it. I am still waiting for a refund. I turned it over to eBay's dispute department. I would avoid any overseas sellers. It is a huge hassle!

Kinda frustrated
I just noticed tonight after spending close to two hours uninstalling the spoiler...
the passenger side fitment isn't good. the tape gave out and the spoiler started sticking up, so i decided to take it off and try to reinstall myself. after taking off the spoiler carefully, i tried to figure out the best way to stick the spoiler back on and make it flush... and it wasn't possible.
hopefully it was just my spoiler... but it was a ***** to get off. i will be contacting formymercedes tomorrow to see what i can do.

Line up the spoiler on the trunk first, and mark the 2 sides with some painter's tape.
Get some rubbing alcohol and clean the area where the spoiler will go.
Get a mix solution of 50% windex/50% water into a spray bottle (this will allow some wiggle room to line up the spoiler).
Remove red backing from 3M tape.
Lightly mist the trunk area where spoiler will be placed with mix solution.
With 2 people, line up spoiler and press firmly against trunk (adjust quickly if necessary before mist evaporates).
Use more painter's tape and tape down the left & right sides/edges (center area wouldn't hurt either).
Leave tape on for a day or so and leave out in the sun if possible. This will help solidify the bond.
That's it! Hope this helps.
