factory hid bulb replacement
To those of you with factory installed bi-xenon(hid) lights, who has changed their bulbs to a brighter temperature? I know factory is 4300k, I am interested in going up to 6000k. Just wanted to know what type of bulbs you used and how satisfied are you?

DONT
a) it's not brighter, it's bluer (4200 to 6000 is a shift in color, not candle power)
b) the light is less efficient the bluer it is.

I do find the OEM 4300k a bit yellowish to my taste. I was thinking of this mod too. If I do I would choose something between 5000-6000k. Phillips makes really good HID replacement bulbs.

I installed Phillips Replacement Bulbs 6000K and love the color... Bright White with a lil blueish color.

Thanks for the inputs guys. I've been reading and Phillips seems to come up quite a bit as a good replacement. I've also found some MTEC bulbs which are suppose to be as good as PIAA bulbs. Anyone have experience with MTEC bulbs?

if you want 6000k bulbs are the philips ultrion bulbs. Also straight from the factory there actually 4100k then color shift to 4300k after about a 100hrs of use. So the bulbs will turn a little whiter over time.
