new owner checklist?
Is there a new owner checklist thread? I pick up my car next week - a sand beige/almond C3004M Luxury with P1/IPOD.
Anyone take that tire and wheel road hazard plan? I will be driving alot of miles per year, but for $795 I wonder how many tires and wheels I'd have to destroy in 5 years to make it worth wild.
Any other issues to have the dealer verify/perform before pickup that anyone could advise on?
Thanks in advance.

Good point about the tire/wheel warranty being a better deal for those that have 18's.
I will get some pictures up after delivery. I wanted the almond interior, so that steered my exterior color choice. The dealer also had an "offbeat" combination - Palladium Silver/Almond on a Luxury. Interesting combination, but seeing them side by side, I decided I liked the Sand Beige better.
I'll be doing my own clear hood bra and headlight protection - I've done it myself on my previous cars.
Thanks for your reply.

I saw the sand beige on an ML and loved it, at the time I ordered mine I wanted the Sport model and sand beige isn't available. If I had to do it all over again I would go with the exact combo you did, although I think my next one will either be the new E or the GLK.

I signed papers on my C300 yesterday and decided to purchase the wheel/tire protection plan. I do have the 18" AMG wheel package, and my 5 year plan was only like $438??? I wonder where the price difference comes from?

Wow, $438? Its dealer markup I guess, but I thought the plan came from mbusa directly? Well, I guess they can't stop the dealer from marking it up. $438 is a good price.

I was told that if I ever have a flat tire, even if the tire can be plugged or patched, the dealer with replace the tire with a new one. Also, if any of my wheels is ever damaged to the point where it won't hold air, MB will replace the wheel.

2014 Mercedes C250 Coupe, 1998 SL 600 sport
I have the road hazard (cost me $1000.00). It basically covers all "road" damage issues. Hitting curbs / potholes etc. as long as the damage is more then cosmetic. I know, I scraped a rim on a curb and it wasn't covered. I got a few flats and they were all covered. Mecedes won't plug a tire, it has to be removed patched from the inside and mounted and balaced again. The bill from Mercedes for each flat was like $50.00. One was a nail so close to the sidewall they just replaced the tire. The good thing was it was the one that had a flat already. I forget, but that was like 450.00. So at this rate I am close to getting my moneys worth, but if you damage a rim - forgetabout it. that will cost you a grand right there.

The tire pressure monitor doesn't tell you which tire is low? The salesman gave me a "complimentary" tire pressure gauge when I told him that was really cheap.
Otherwise, the car felt good on the way home. Very quiet, no rattles. I got 25.3 MPG on a 30 mile trip with an average speed of 33MPH.
