Incoming phone call ringer (too loud) HELP!!!

Hello all,

This is my first post here.

I've had my new C350 for 3 payments now and love it except how do I turn down the freakin telephone ringer?

I upgraded the audio with amps, speakers processor and sub (sounds great) but I just about panic when an incoming call comes in.

I found a setting deep within a menu somewhere, but it only works for the current incalling call, the next one defaults back to the loud setting. Someone please save my ears?

use the volume knob on the deck to turn down the ring when you recieve a call..that should set the volume for your next calls..something i noticed the other day was that i have a ringtone for my ringer and it played over the car stereo...

Lowering the cell phone volume ringer doesn't unfortunately lower the car phone ringer.

Was there a phone setting in the MM for the ringer volume? I didn't know, thanks for the tip. I always thought I had to turn down the volume as I was hearing the ring.

It should set the volume for next calls but in my car but with my 3g iPhone, the next call's ringer through the car stereo is super loud.

It seems to me that each call's ringer volume has to be reset manually with each new call that comes in. Anyone else experience this?

Yes. I've almost given up. I posted this same problem a while back and the response from everyone was "just lower the volume as the call comes in"...

That doesn't SET the incoming ringer to be low permanently. I still battle with this heart-attack everyday. Can't figure out how to lower the ring volume permanently.

Hopefully they fix this in a software update. Along with fog lights in auto mode

This cant be true. When the call comes in and I set the volume lower, for the next call it is the same.

I do not have to do it for each call. Last time I did it was a while back and since then the volume is the same.

There is something wrong in your car then. Also try going to telephone menu of COMAND and try to search for the volumes , receive or trasnmit. Try adjusting the volume there as well.
