I like the mb-tex but when ever I get in a car with real leather I do notice the difference. Real leather is softer and gives the whole car a great smell.

To me, the only benefit of leather is when the car is brand new, it smells great and feels soft. MB-Tex looks good, feels soft enough and most importantly holds up very well over time.
I agree whole heartily!

Now wait a minnit. You have a hitch on your poor diesel C and you pull one of those cow **** trailers around the pasture with it?

I would love to see a photo of this. You can be in it, forking the stuff into the trailer.

I'll make a point of taking the camera next time. The car tows a ton or so of muck beautifully. Very poised That is why I bought it .The others with their long overhangs , fancy suspensions & front wheel drive just don't cut it .

My car is 20 years old this year, with a leather interior. It is a matter of perspective I guess, the only MB I have ever been in with plastic seats are taxis or dealer loaners, and I absolutely hate the way it feels. The quarterly or semi-annual leather conditioning is a small price to pay for the huge increase in comfort.

dozens of reasons to go either way...neither are wrong. its a matter of personal opinion. for me, the one thing that tipped me over to leather was the look. i liked the stitched leather look much more than the mbtex which has no stitching.

I have the MBtex but I agree the leather looks better. I treated the MBtex with a cleaner/conditioner earlier today and it looks and feels better now...and hopefully lasts forever.

Love the hat. Seats might need a bit of attention. You might consider some 20s and adding a clear bra (might be too late for that) , some AMG door pins (2) and a 35% tint on that racing screen. A Kleeman setup would be over the top, though.

Im going to ask mb tomorrow but how much does it cost to switch from mb-text to leather?

Is there any other sources out there?

It is strange. I have one car with leather and another one with MB tex. So MB tex looks like stitched more.

My favorite thing about MB tex is that I can play sports or do yard work and get all sweaty and not feel too guilty about jumping in the car. With my leather, I would always change or try to lay a towel down. Now I just wipe it off, if that.

Leather care will make the vinyl slippery since it cannot absorb the leather cleaner/conditioner.

MB-Tex?

This sounds stupid, I know, but I am not sure what my interior is. I bought my '07 E320 Bluetec used, and th dealers were such liars, I don't know if I believe them when they said these were leather seats. Does the leather have the small perforations in the seat? Thanks.

Wrinkled door inserts = leather. It is also slippery at touch. You can also check your VIN, see some links in the thread.

Coming from MB-Tex and now with the real leather.

I prefer the MB-Tex, much easy to maintain and less hassle; also more durable than leather.

Leather is easier to get damage and need to look after all the time.

The Leather does makes the car feel and look luxury just little more than the MB-Tex.
