REQUESTING REFUND FOR $5 FOR COST OF NEW TAPE FROM CAR KING ROOF SPOILERS

I had a spoiler from Lorinser on my previous car and it came together with bonding to stick it on my car, so no tape but glue.
Don't complain about quality
but use the bonding to fix your spoiler and it NEVER will come lose again. It is dry in 2 hours.I have OEM front spoiler lips on my car WITH tape and has the same problem, it won't stick good. So it isn't Brad's fault, XtinaNoel OEM spoiler also came lose.
So spent some money on good stuff and you are sure you dont lose you spoiler.

Just no communication telling me that I will actually be getting my spoiler..
I don't want it to go over a month, when I won't be able to file anything with paypal....
Just a simple email shouldn't take too long

I am doing this as a favor. But please don't hold me responsible, since I am not the 2nd GB starter.

I think there are many people pleased (including me) that you started the GB and that you have done the communication. If they have troubles they have to send an email to Brad self. So dont feel responsible.
Trying to figure out if it is worth it trying to retape it back on their with 3m double sided tape to replace the cheap taiwan tape, or if I should instead buy some type of glue or take it to a body shop to get put on permanently...
the unnatural bend makes me fear it will eventually pry up again over time...
just wanted to get an update on the latest from all who bought it to see if the 3M brand tape was actually holding over time...
thanks!
I had to redo mine again even after I did the real 3M. It is not Brad's tape. However, my spoiler is curved like my roof line now after the 3M held it for a month or so. I am hoping this time it will hold longer since I re-applied it after I washed my car and let it sit in the sun for couple of hours. You need to calm down. For the price we paid, that is a reasonable product. Worst case, take it off and ebay it just like Brad. Seems like lots of other may want your spoiler
yxc,
Any chance the OEM spoiler have larger contact surface than what Brad produced? I think the issue maybe the 1/4 in on the 3 sides. I think 1/2 in would have been better but I have never seen an OEM version. I notice my top side of the spoiler is sticking to my windows really good and it is the 1/2 in 3M but the other sides are only 1/4 in and that seems to be where its peeling off. I tried to use 1/2 in on the vertical side this time. Hope that works out!
Thanks for the GB and you should not have to be the go between Brad and the others. You have better things to do and they can handle it themselves. Worst case dispute with Paypal..
For the rest of you guys, Brad is responsive as I communicated with him during the GB. He just take a bit to response. Tracking number really does nothing since it is for Taiwan. Mine came in two days after he said he shipped it out.
I received my roof spoiler as part of 2nd GB. After learning from your experience I didn't take chances. I bought 3M tape and applied to the one provided by Brad. 2 tapes instead of one that provided little extra cushion. I applied on Saturday after cleaning with alcohol pad, and placed heavy books to the edges. It's been 4 days and still holding. Also I placed the books back when inside garage for the first 3 nights.
Regards
i used rubbing alcohol and real 3m tape for install on pristine clean glass...
I am wondering, anybody use glue, and if so, what type is best for this application to make it more "permanent"???
thanks,

I will probably remove the tape that's already on the spoiler as it is only 1/4" wide, and replace it with black 3M tape that's 1/2" wide so that it covers entire lip and wraps around into the cavity. I also don't want the tape to show on the inside through the glass as my spoiler is black.
I will probably spray a light coat of matte black paint in the inside cavity of the spoiler as I don't want the inconsistant paint finish on the inside to show through the glass either.
In the past, when installing any trim or spoiler with 3M tape I always clean the surface with a clay bar and rubbing alcohol (not at the same time). Before sticking the part on I heat both the surface and the part with a hair dryer so that is has a nice warm surface for the tape to stick to.
Since fall weather is here, I will keep my car in my heated garage and limit any driving for the next two days.
I'll keep you posted on how it goes.

over the tape!!!!!
