New to this site... Question for you all (esp. C300 owners)...
I just purchased a Black 2009 MB C300 Sport for my fiancee. I brought my car to the shop for minor customizations. One of these customizations was smoked taillights and mirror turn signal lights. This is actually painted from the inside. It is not cheap film. I thought it looked nice, my fiancee HATES it. She already called the dealership and inquired about light replacements. So, what are your toughts? Anyone want to trade free and clear...LOL?

I also had a Sirius aftermarket radio installed where the ashtray was located. The door still closes. You would never know it was there. They did a GREAT job. I can provide pics if anyone is interested.

Tinted taillights are not legal under Fed DOT. But most police officers turn a blind eye to them as some cars in the past have come this way from the factory.
That being said the owner of the Home D where I pick up my beer had his tails tinted and received a fixit ticket while driving back to his business from the tinter. Total time he had it was about 5 minutes. So basically it is at your own risk and how much of a PIA your local police are.

I am not exactly sure how they did it. I assumed they did it from the inside. Maybe I am wrong, but it is a flawless job. As for the goo gone, I did not want to mess them up in case someone wanted to purchase them from me.
