Yes, I've heard this too, but I'm not sure it's the seat, it may be the car suspension reacting to weight when I sit in the car.

I've noticed it only a few times. I recall it being after either a dusty ride or a particularly nasty rainstorm. I'm thinking that grit gets in somewhere in the suspension and the noise results. After a cleansing (nicer rainstorm) it goes away.

check if it only happens when you have the emergency brakes on.

I noticed my car making some slight noises on occasion, but I assumed it was because I've been eating well lately...

Yeah, me too .... but the sound is more like an old rusted suspension than a squeeky chair. Ugh. New car, rusted springs. Great ;-(

Meanwhile I like that comment about maybe the emergency is doing it. How to find out? Won't the car roll away with it off (yeah, need flat places, okay).

But, is the emergency on the driveshaft or the rears? I thought it was on the drive shaft, same as the hill-assist mechanism.

EXACTLY!

But it's is definitely the chair in my car and not the suspension or parkbreak...

Yeah, mine too
But, if I move the seat, and readjust it, the squeeky sound would be gone for a while and then it comes back again.

Sounds as if the seat adjustment rack needs to be greased.

I just noticed my seating kind of making a popping noise today. I have less than 2,000 miles on the car. Between this, the excessive wind noise from the rear passenger window, the ratting emmiting from the steering wheel area and rattle from the grear shift area this might be the noisiest car I've owned. Well the used 85 300zx may have been noisier.

I'm going to bring these issues up when I take the car into the dealership for my 1-3000 mile check up.

I get the same noise also. I adjusted my lumbar support and it seemed to go away but it comes back again. Feels like some plastic parts inside the chair is rubbing on something..

it it sounds like the seat is kinda loose or something cuz of the popping noise.

Probably not related, but I had a similar sound in my car and it turned out to be a small pad between the seat belt holder and the seat. The pad was worn through allowing the plastic seat belt holder to rub the seat. Replace the pad and the sound went away.
