I have seen this on other vehicles too. I think it is a mark left on the window from the suction pad that held the window when it was installed onto the car during manufacture.

I have the marck as a circle. And yes it does look like a mark left from a suction cap. Tried to get rid of it but it wont go away. Used viniger with water.

I have a circle too, and almost in the exact center is a rock chip. Dang. I had put a round Novus sticker over the rock chip to keep it from spreading, and now in the early morning sun, it appears to be exactly centered in the suction cup circle. Cool. Um.

I finally went out and used Invisible Glass to clean the inside of my windshield. Hey, what do you know? In the bright sunshine (yeah it does make an appearance sometimes here) the circle is gone, G-O-N-E. I wonder, how long will it stay gone?
Hmm.
Hmm.

I too was able to "wipe" it off, but really, it just wiped off the condensation around it, making it blend back into the glass...
really weird... i wonder what this imperfection could be since so many of us have it!

the service dept called a mercedes rep to see if he had any info or any service bulletins... but nothing...
i really wonder if this is a common defect or if this "circle shape" that will never fog up actually has a purpose!!
ANYBODY have a solution? Other than replace the whole windshield?
two dealers now have been dumbfounded by this...
