2008 c230 4matic sport
snow tires

live in toronto and cant find snow tires for my 08 c230 4matic with the sport package. Seems to be that the rotars in the rear are too big to accept generic tires. Dealer says i need winter rims and specific tires.
I would like to put on blizak lm22's

snow coming any day so any response is appreciated

2008 Mercedes C230 Sport
Benz does not have or make steel rims for us with the C230 Sport. I have found AMG replicas in 16 and 17" at costco.......they can get those for you......I would suggest you go with the 225/45-17 all around as opposed to the staggered rears. That is what I did......I am not sure if costco had Blizzak lm22....I got Michilen Xice Xi2 239. for each tire and 129 for 17" rims each

Witch costco?
Can you post pics of the rims?
How is the quality of the rims, are they the proper off set?
Thanks.

I have a source for very affordable Mercedes OEM rims ( from the US ) that will fit your car. You can easily buy tires from Costco or tirerack.com or your dealer to fit the rims.

2011 BMW 335xi titanium silver.
Today, I mounted my LM-25s XL (235/45/17) on 17" 'C63 reps'.

My rim guy said that the offset has changed significantly from the previous C-class. As of yet, not that many rims have that large offset. Apparently, he had 7 sets that fit the 300 (not 350) and the MB dealership took 5, then 6.

The tires look a little beefy because they are 235 (should have gone with 225s, but they were used on the Audi last year) and the tires just clear the fenders.

PS I thought I saw a snowflake or two this morning....

If you haven't checked tirerack.com yet, there is a world of info there which will help you including tire and wheel packages. At a price, natch.

I'd definitely get snows for your OE rims or get tire / rim bundle from tire-rack. Current OE size is perfect for snows. Wider = less traction in snow conditions.

Use 225/45R17 Snows all around on stock rims

Even though the rear rims are one half inch wider, it is fine to run 225/45R17 snows on all four corners. Just installed Dunlop Winter Sport 3D tires on stock rims. Just need to keep the wider rims on the rear.
