I have noticed some forum members washing twice a week. Is there a down side to this much attention ie rusting components , panels & extra scratching of paintwork ?.

Wash once a week, wipe down with quick detailer middle of the week between....but I'm **** like that and like the car as clean as it can be.

every day , except sundays... the streets are very dirty and it rains a lot in my country, i own a autodetailing (car wash)

I wash it once a week but I feel like it is a bit obsessive so now i plan to wash it once every 2 weeks so my neighbors dont look at me weird. lol
The good thing is its silver so it stays clean looking...and I put a car cover over it.

Depending upon the weather two to three times a week. Black is a pain but worth it.

Once every two weeks or if it looks dirty or gets bugs, tar, tree sap, bird crap etc. I got the silver with the hopes of reducing my washing frequency from my last black car and it seems to be working out very well. Of course I live in Atlanta which has been like a fricken desert for the last couple years so I rarely have to wash off any road mist grime...

i like the paint of this cars, is very hard to make swirls on the paint!!!!!!

Once a week before sun comes up or after sun goes down. Use in line water purifier . Makes our Black cars Black'r .
Use Dura-gloss detailer with very soft micro fiber in between .
I hate to say I am known as the Car Wash guy in the neighborhood.
I guess that is better than the Naked Guy ??

1-2x a week, depending on dirt/weather. garage at night, outside under trees during the day.

I have the same rep in my neighborhood. Car wash guy not naked guy of course. My next door neighbor always gets upset when I set up the canopy over the driveway. He knows I'll be out there for 8 hours or so waxing then.

At most, once a month. When I've a few minutes, I just hose off the dirt once a week.

How long does it usually take you per wash? I wash every other week but take about two hours each time.

do you just let it air dry or dry it with all the dirt and particles still on the finish??

either way i would stop doing that. hosing the car down doesn't get all the dirt off and then you are either letting it air dry which causes watermarks or rubbing the remaining dirt on your finish - i cant tell which would be worse but neither are good.
