The dealers use lifts with rubber pads. Your home hydraulic jack has only a steel cup which will damage the jackpoint. Ugly but not fatal. I don't have a W204 jackpad yet but here's another example, this one for a Porsche 911. It slides into the jack receiver and the rubber pad faces down. I have one of these things I need to sell because it is not made for my present car.
