Exhaust Upgrade? Modifications?
Hi, has anyone altered his or her C300 or C350 exhaust. I've seen on youtube some C63 AMG models with exhaust mods.
I was wondering whether there were any available to buy or alterations possible. If so, do they void one's warranty.
See the C class sounds okay stock, but I would like to hear a deeper and more powerful sound without making it sound cheap (if you know what I mean)
Any opinions, ideas, and input is appreciated

I think it might sound better with stock resonator still on. Cause the car has a lot of drone with straight pipes

I am working on an axle-back system with some folks in the car mod/ repair industry now. It should be offered by spring. It will require cutting the exhaust pipes near the rear axle, removing the system, and merely bolting on the new system (BOLT ON) with special clamps that will allow reinstallation of the factory system if needed. It will be all stainless and I am shooting for quad tips that wil fit under the non C63 diffuser. According to my dealership, there will be no warranty issues if the system does not impact emission control. That may vary by dealership. I am not sure how it will be marketed, so I am hesitant to get into those details just yet.

As far as the warranty goes, the dealership/manufacturer must directly link the problem to your modifications to void any warranties. For example, they can not void your warranty on a suspension problem because you have a modified exhaust....but they could refuse to warranty a catalytic converter problem, or O2 sensor problem because of your modified exhaust.

You see...I actually asked the person at the dealership who is in charge of making the decision to honor the warranty. The aftermarket exhausts come after the cats and sensors, so they can't impact emission control systems.
