H&R continues its innovative design and manufacture of new suspension technologies with the introduction of their Street Performance Coil-Over Kits. Featuring black, hard-anodized aluminum front struts for strength and beauty, Street Performance Coil-Over Kits ultimately reduce unsprung weight 30-40% over stock struts and lower an average of 1.0" to 2.5" for optimized performance and ride.
Blueprinted as coil-overs (not just a modified shock body), the H&R units are hand-assembled in Germany by H&R Speziafedern under rigid ISO 9001 and German TÜV standards. Strict attention to the function of the complete suspension system is the number one design priority.
Like the Coil-Over Suspension Kits, the Street Performance Coil-Over Kits' threaded body means that the outside of the strut or shock tubes are threaded like a bolt. This allows the threaded spring perch to be moved up or down to fine-tune the ride height, further optimizing looks and handling. Available for popular Audi, BMW and Volkswagen applications, these coil-overs feature H&R's exclusive damper technology. Each shock is specifically engineered to work smoothly with the progressive rate springs.
Tirerack's website also indicates:
Ride Height: Threaded Adjustment
Note: Avg low 1.5-2.8"F & 1.2-2.2"R.
Lowering height will vary on vehicles with factory sport suspension. Excludes 4Matic.
I can't wait to get a set.

KuiDaCroat22, slam it...seriously? I hope most people buy them for the performance benefits. Eventhough you can "slam" your car with H&R coilovers, it's not a good idea to drive it that way. H&R advises against lowering or raising all the way with their system.

However if it requires an alignment each time, its not worth it. Also how do you ensure that all 4 corners are perfectly level?
AZN, I was going to ask this earlier. Can you snap some shots of the top of the rear shock mounts during the install. I don't want to blindly rip into the trunk carpet. Thanks!

I like the fact that the H&Rs don't have damp and rebound adjustments. Nice and easy. BTW, how much cheaper? Can I get a hook-up?
Just kidding.Delirium, you can do it by yourself. To adjust them, you jack the car up, remove the wheel, and use the two supplied wrenches to move the spring seat. You should measure stock ride height prior to installing coilovers. As far as getting a new alignment, I would.
Yeah I am serious when I say I want to slam it. Our cars power have barely any power, it makes sense to buy coils for a c63 for performance reasons but a c300 or c350 I would say its mostly for looks on my part then performance. Yes i will like the stiffer ride and better handling, but Im looking forward to lowering it more. Do what you want with your car though. I have other cars for performance so when im driving my C i dont normally drive it hard or anything.n but i dont really see what the problem is with slamming your car, alot of people do it and it looks good

if you only want the lowered look you can just cut the springs and save yourself tons of money.
