Blacked Out
Hey guys im new here and I'm looking into getting a C350. I was driving today and saw a 350 with a black grill. I was wondering if you can buy these or if he just got it powdercoated? If anyone here has this please post some pics.

They most likely had theirs painted. Was it matt black or regular black (matching the rest of the paint). It's pretty easy for a paint shop to do and looks really nice afterwords. Search the forums you'll see a different variety of them where everything would be blacked out except the star, or they got a luxury grill and blacked it out entirely. Best of luck.

I just blacked out the horizontal bars on my C63 grille. I posted instructions with a materials list in the C63 forum:

You could do the whole thing with a little extra effort. It's pretty easy to do if you're at all mechanically inclined...

Don't pay someone else. Here's my DIY thread from March 2008. Use the same paint I used. It's very durable.

BTW, you can't powdercoat plastic and, German, I like your grille.
