a quarter mile at a time
flickering is probably caused by the SLIGHT differences in current draw between the different LED's. Some draw just enough to keep the computer satisfied while others don't. At least that's what happens on the W203 and W211 city lights.

Hi, yes. All factory bulbs except the Leds. It is quite blue at night but looks fine in the day.

Yea, I changed mine to the traditional LED plus load resistor ones.

Just wanna check, if I don't mind the flickering and dimming, will the heat from the LEDs do any harm to the car (wirings, housings, etc)? I've ordered mine for both the eye lids and rear license plate but have not received them yet.
The heat is bearable for the bulb holder and wires. Flickering is OK if its only for unlocking of the car. But in this case, when the accelerator is stepped on, the flickering and dimming is unbearable. It could dim until it looks like it wasn't on. And that's when you are driving. It will look like one of your bulb has blown.

For the license plate, it will work. Only problem is it flickers when the engine has been switched off after driving for a while. Which is also because of the heat. But it is fine with me so I left it at the license plate. If you tried it in the eyelids and don't like it, you can use it for the interior light. That saying, once you fix them in the front interior lights, for the rear you do not need resistors when you also fit leds for the rear. I using it, no problems cause you don't switch it on for long so not much heat thus, no issues.

The eyelid casing has some kind of colour coating? I noticed today that mine look blue/green compared to the light housing below?

It already has one but it heats up the IC

eugene, what kind of resistor do you have in parallel? Can you show the "setup"?

Hi Eugenemon,

So you've changed to normal LED and added in resistors now? Did you DIY yourself or which workshop did you go to? I'm really not good in such stuffs... thanks.

Finally got around to installing. Came out perfect. Zero flickering and stays a constant brightness with engine off or on. Have them on my eyebrows and sidemarkers, but I'll probably swap them out of my sidemarkers for LEDs that shine to the sides to light the whole housing instead of straight out of it. Matches great though.
