Just thought I'd throw this out there, but there's another ECU group buy going on for Singh Autosport (http://www.singhautosport.com/). $500 for 204s. The good thing about this ECU tune vs others is they don't need to remove the ECU unit. It's accessed through the OBD2 port. This is supposed to make it undetectable, therefore not voiding warranty. They also have 2 free reflashes if dealerships overwrite the ECU.

This is what the owner of Signh Autosport, Jags Gill replied to me,
"The price is $649 plus tax because its a sealed unit on the 350/550 and 63 engines.
The gains are about 20hp/19lbs tq. We'll raise the rpm's, remove the speed limiter, making the shifting smoother, remove the hesitation, advance the timing in the mid range/top end, adjust the air/fuel, etc, etc.
Let me know if you have any further questions.
Thanks,
Jags
p.s. If you decide to go ahead let me know if you want us to get the K&N air filters for you."
Sounds like a good deal for 20 horses, right? And when I asked for Dyno test, he said,
"I'll have to look for the Dyno sheets because we do all our tests in Germany on a real Dyno. Many tuners post Dyno sheets with results that have been fabricated."
Wtf?![Confused](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/confused.gif)
Anyway, my question is how do I know if I really got the gain of 20 horses? If what he did is only remove the hesitation and speed limiter, of course the car will FEEL faster because the lag is gone, but doesn't mean that I got the extra horses. If that the case, I can just get the Sprint Booster, which is leass than $300.

For any 3.5 NA motor this is virtually impossible with out extensive and expensive additional mods.
I laugh at these hp claims that never have any 3rd party hp and tq dyno charts to back it up. My questions would be 1) how much torque to I have to give up and where, 2)where in RPM range do I see the hp gains, and for how long.
Best bang for the buck in OE world is high pressure direct injection. Not an aftermarket solution though.
