Hey everyone, I'm not sure what to do with my windows....so if you could post your car's tint pics that would be great!

In NJ, the laws are no driver/passenger windows and windshield...
I don't know what I should do...

 

hey man i live in Jersey to. I have 40% all around looks good plus i have a black interior so it makes it much darker. The only way i can get light inside is through my sun roof and then you could see me. Where in Jersey you from?

 

im from north jersey..u get any tint tickets?

 

Merc=5% all around, and the lexus=20% all around

 

I donno about u guys in US, but in Canada Vancouver I just got a ticket yesterday for having the front driver and passenger side tinted at the lightest legal tint limit...the fine was $109CAD and its $84CAD if I paid within 30days. Now Im debating if I should have the front tint remove or gamble with the police. I had the tint since August 2008... I guess the cop was trying to meet his quota on New Years EVE... So what do u guys think I should do? My car is Obsidian Black with all lightest tint all round accept of course the front. And I really like it. What should I do? remove the front or not?

 

is the windshield tinted too on the merc? ne tickets? I like how it looks...would be nice with the pano too

 

My tint in the front is over the limit so in summer I roll my front windows down halfway whenever I spot a cop. In winter time like now, I take my chance.. Good thing it gets darker earlier during winter

 

If you're worried about the laws I say you should go for 20% it doesn't look too risky dark. I know 5% looks better but is more likely to get you a ticket. I'll post some pics of my tints soon.

The windshield isn't tinted on the Merc. No tickets yet (knock on wood). In Nevada i believe you can go as dark as you want on the rear windows and up to 20% on the fronts. When I was in Colorado, I think it was 20% max in the rear and 35% in the front. I've been pulled over in the Lexus many times and they have never said anything about the front windows at 20%.

If you are worried, 20% looks very good and its hard to tell for a cop if its beyond the limit unless they pull out there light meter thingy. I would go with 20%. But if you don't care about tickets, 5% definitely looks good.

I went with 5% on the Merc because people can still see in at 20%. I personally hate being looked at. lol.

mir i go there once in awhile but i am mostly in Jersey City. I live in central Jersey and its about 45 min away going to Edgewater.

Ive been wanting to get tints as well ....20% or even 35% anything looks better than no tints but i just know the police around here are just gonna be nothing but pain in the asses !!

 

yeah i would get any tint like i wish i could get 20ish, but i really dont wanna have to pay the $55 tickets....

i think the same tint all around is best....but i have not seen any light to dark tint jobs so i really dont know
