Who Has Figured Out How to Raise the Rev Limiter?
Especially in lower gears the C300 (6spd) is still making significant power when I slam into the brick wall of the ignition/fuel cut.
It'd be really nice to have the cluster turn red and message "Shift Up" when you get into the red dashed lines (6.2k or so) and move the ign/fuel cut to 7k - 7.2k or so.
Anyone know a company that has released something like this or is capable?

yep, that doesn't look like some *******g arts and charts for a magazine article.
dyno pulls are usually done in the gear that is 1:1...not 1st or 2nd or even 3rd (for this gear box).
do you people even read the entire post and give a little thought to the subject???

well i'll try to explain it.
this HUGE power your feeling in that low gear is Torque, the force that actually moves you. it's all about torque for acceleration. as you can see the torque curve falls off at around 5000 RPM Horsepower rises but that too falls off at 6500 RPM, so actually your engine is making less of the both things it takes to get to speed torque and horsepower.
Most likely because your car like 99% of benzes have a TB (throttle body) that is too small for the volume of air your engine requires at the prime A/F (air fuel ratio) to make more of both horsepower and torque. The only benefit i can see from raising your rev limiter to that would essentially be like making for 1st gear longer so you could spend more time in 1st gear and have a better power ratio. but then again as i stated earlier, this fact is negated by the reduction in both horsepower and torque that your now produces in this (increased rev range).
Also, as confirmation of the fact that torque moves you and for acceleration all you really need to worry about is torque. I have a G-meter in my car. it measures the gravational force that your car is producing at any given time. in 1st gear it peaks at .37 G forward from 2900-4300 RPM which means that is my fastest acceleration point in the rev range, which also happens to be my peak torque range. then it drop to about .32 g at 6200 RPM. redline/fuel cut.
last but not least, if you engine is stupid powerful and has like 800 HP and 250 lb-ft of torque then my arguement of torque is everything has an exception, like F1 cars.

Let me restate my question,
"Who Has Figured Out How to Raise the Rev Limiter?"
I don't remember asking anyone, if I'd be wasting my time.
simple "no" or non-reply or a link to a company who can
http://www.mkb-tuning.de/content/en/...prod_gruppe=11
"this company looks capable"
Thanks for the link!

From following your link, your first post should have asked about performance chips. If all you wanted to do was raise your engine's max RPM, I simply wanted to supply you with the information letting you know it was really a waste of time as our engines are quickly losing power on the top end.

BTW: any reputable benz tuner will be able to o this, kleeman, renntech, brabus, powerchips, VRP, Code 3, Evo Sport there are tones of them out there, just look in the sponsor section of this site.
btw, there going to tell u the same thing.
