I would like to see a flat black grille, like the classic/lux grille but without the MB emblem on it. Anyone seen one like that?!

BTW, Krytech, German Anger has a black Lux grille. Check his posts. It's in his sig. I think it's gloss though.

im a little confused - which grill comes on which car?

Is it differentiated by the Sport Trim level?

Is the sport W204 grill the same as on the C63? (Im looking to buy one so that I can get it painted black)

I am sure others can answer more but I know the Lux grille do not have the star. The "Sport" grille sport a large Merc Star. I think the other model have a smaller star? To answer your question, I believe the C63 is almost the same as the Sport model but there is a chrome edge or rim around the whole grille. The Sport does not have the outer chrome edge surrounding.

cool - i was more curious if any W204 grill will fit the C63

since im painting it, maybe i can pick one up used on one of the boards, but I just want to make sure all W204 grills are interchangeable

I think trial0r has a flat black grille. I've done mine obsidian black (to color match) but theres another thread I think someone did something like Gloss/Matte and that looks really good too (gloss on the stripes, and matte on the fins), If i did it again I'd probably go that route... but full body matched isn't bad tho

I was thinking of painting my lux grille flat black. I like the matte/gloss the AZN did too. I'd also like to paint the fins on my sport grille to match my body color (Steel Grey), but I'll probably have to have that done professionally. I don't think touch-up paint would look that good

Someone posted a site that sells spray can paint that was suppose to match MB color. There was a thread about it. Do you have two grille? Looks like you have a sport and a lux grille from you sig.
