Lamin-X Tail lights

I have a C300 sport in Silver and am looking to tint my tail lights. I looking to use Lamin-X in Gunsmoke but I'm afraid it may be too dark, does anyone have tinted tail lights, some pics would be great, thanks in advance.

NOT Lamin-X. Professionally sprayed and clear-coated. Light shines through nicely at night.

Get it painted. It'll look better. Medium Tint. More Cherry than stock Strawberry.

That's a nice amount of tint, hoping to get the same effect with lamin-x in gunsmoke

I'm afraid too much work and cost for painting the lights, you referred me to js designs for the carbon overlay, do they paint the lights as well?

Thanks Park

I believe the "gunsmoke" is really dark... "tint" is the lighter one...

For Lamin-X

JSDesignFactory works out of Promax. Talk to Anthony at Promax to see what he can do for you. Won't be too expensive. Do it once and do it right.

I would also prefer Lamin-X mostly for the fact that I can always just take the film off. Does anyone have pics of how the Lamin-X looks?

Buy light tint and gunsmoke, see which one you like and sell/return the other one.

That's what I'm doing but for the foglights I got clear/light tint.

I'm leaning toward getting the lamin-x for the same reason that it is removable, still have to decide between tint and gunsmoke, haven't been able to find pre-cut lamin-x in tint shade. I'll post some pics after it's done

aite aznc300 makes sense...

and although that tinted light looks proper on that newc180... the paint gives a nicer shiny transparent look...

I prefer to leave the white parking lights non-tinted; I found out through previous vehicles that tinted windows and tinting the parking light makes it near to impossible to parallel park at night.

LOL painting is so ghetto, and any quality bodyshop that does mercs will tell you the paint starts to fade and dull and looks like **** in a year or 2..

laminx is way better idea plus when you change you mind or sell the car it comes off easily

only if you use cheap crap. Use high heat resistant paint and you won't have any issues. I've seen cars with painted tails that have lasted well for 8+ years and counting.

compare between stock and tinted, when lit up.

smoke vinyl.. looks like deep cherry when lit. and dark when its night and parked.
