2010 C350 with the new engine (292hp) ???
is there any indication that 2010 C350 will come with the new engine 3.5 V6 292hp (like the new 2010 E350 Coupe)?
I am ready to buy now but I can wait 4-5 months for the better engine.
Thanks
Plus, the new E-Class, just out, still has the old engines.

If Mercedes keeps the 268hp 3.5L V6 in the upcoming 2010 E350, I guess there is a big chance that it will keep the same engine in the 2010 C350. Just my guess...
With best regards,
Get used to seeing, hearing and reading about the redesigned 2010 Mercedes-Benz E-Class, but don’t look for it at the Detroit Auto Show . Even though Mercedes chose to “reveal” the car in Detroit (and to publicly release photographs of the car and information about it), the viewing was limited to invited guests from the global automotive media community. The car will not be on display at the Detroit show.
The general public will get its first look at the car at the Geneva motor show in March, presumably followed by a U.S. show debut at New York in April. The 2010 E-Class goes on sale in the United States this summer.
U.S. models come equipped with two carryover engines, the E350 with a 268-hp, 258-lb-ft V6, and the E550 with a 382-hp, 391-lb-ft V8. Mercedes says all-wheel-drive 4MATIC models and the high-performance E63 AMG won’t be available at launch, but should be on sale later in the year, followed by the 50-state-legal E350 BlueTEC diesel in early 2010. New direct-injection gasoline engines available in Europe won’t be offered in the United States, mostly due to incompatibility with high-sulphur-content unleaded gasoline here, but Mercedes hopes to offer the engines in the future.
Styling is noticeably different, drawing on the design previewed in the Concept Fascination show car revealed at the Paris motor show last fall. The design features twin rectangular headlamps, and a rear wheel arch treatment that Mercedes says echoes a styling cue from the famous “Ponton Mercedes” introduced in 1953.
A column-mounted shifter, COMAND controller and ambient lighting highlight interior upgrades and changes.
New technological features include a drowsy-driver monitoring system, dubbed Attention Assist, and Lane Keeping Assist and Adaptive Highbeam Assist. The car also borrows features from the current S- and CL-class models including Blind Spot Assist and Night View Assist Plus, which recognizes and highlights pedestrians on the central display.
The Best of Mercedes & AMG
Mb has pretty quick engine developing cycle I think along with amg engine
As it was mentioned e class is coming out with m272
That figures.... Slk hasn't got new engine too right? I heard that slk are the first ones to recieve the new engine
I wondered the same thing so I was checking out the German Mercedes website cuz I figured if Mercedes introduces a new car/engine/product it would be in their own country to start with. Anyways.... If you look through the online configuration (it's in german but pretty easy to figure out.... it lists the C 350 CGI BlueEFFICIENCY as an engine option.... which is rated at 292HP.
So I think there's hope yet that we'll get in North America too..... maybe?!

Nice find !!!
Another interesting thing on the german web site is that if you select the c350 BlueEFFICIENCY option it gives 0-100km/h at 6.2sec which is the same like todays engine. I am wondering besides fuel efficiency, what you might get more on the new engine (unless there is a typo in the web site)

As some of the other follow up posts noted, if you don't have to buy a car with these carryover engines, wait for the direct injection engines. This stuff about the high sulfur gas is BS, those DFI engines have to come to the US to meet MPG regulations. I can't see the 2011s not having them, MB is just stringing it out as long as possible to save costs and bleed down the supply of the old motors.

It's a good bet that the current V6 will be dropped in the States in favor of the new 3.5 300 hp engine showing up in the current 09 SLK. It's only a matter of time before they work it into the ML, R, GLK, E, E Coupe and C. Although it does make you wonder why the GLK didn't get the new engine.
C 350 CGI BlueEFFICIENCY Limousine 6 Zylinder 215 kW (292 PS) Automatikgetriebe 7G-TRONIC 47.510,75 Euro
...292 PS!

Porsche's latest engines will not tolerate high sulphur fuel either.
3 way cat convertors can't tolerate fuel at over 10ppm sulphur - period - Benzene emissions become excessive
So no C with new engine until gasoline sulphur levels are below 10ppm which is essentially zero.
