What do like about your new "C" best?
I personally like how nimble it drives, it feels very light and responsive...

Great to see a positive thread!
My dealer allowed me to bring the car home overnight before purchasing.( 50 km away) I put it up on jacks & inspected the suspension ,steering & brakes . We also spent time checking out the interior including seat adjustments & comfort. The engine bay was next .
I liked the solidness & quality that I saw.Comfortable seats on long journeys, overall nimbleness & a nice balance between handling & ride. It also suited as a country car in the towing department, having a real spare tyre, reasonable ground clearance on rough country roads & rear wheel drive for steep gravel slopes.
The diesel engine is loosening up & is achieving an overall average of 6 litres /100 km.ie 47 imperial mpg.The high torque engine suits the 5 speed auto box giving a relaxed or responsive drive , which ever is asked for.
I did my homework on the car before purchase so had no surprises & we are very satisfied with the purchase.John .

(A4 comes really close, but I like the C slightly more)Sound system
Quality
Awesome Nav screen I can show off to my friends xD
It's really quiet inside while driving...and they want to make it even quieter with the new mirrors :P
I did my homework for this car :P

very smooth ride... and light steering. ( can drive with one hand)

Overall.. The interior is amazing.

there is not a bad angle on the new C, really impeccable...
perhaps my only complaint are the size of the outside mirrors, but also, I have to accept that they work because when I get into something else I can't see backwards as good as in the C...
later I will comment on more aspects of the C as the thread develops
Braking (large 12.7" front drilled & vented rotors, C300 has smaller ones I think)
Handling/cornering on smooth roads (turning on rough roads unsettle the car a bit).
All the high-tech stuff (Command, popup nav, 7.1ch audio, auto-leveling headlights, led tails, voice control, phone, etc.)
Basically, the exterior of it got me in the showroom and everything else about it made be drive it home.

basically same here... just not the driving it home part, yet
Anyway, there's no glory in street racing, so I don't bother.
For me, it's all about how they go down the road, the overall feel of solidity. Everything else is icing on the cake. A long time ago, one of the major auto mags in a road test article of some MB said that driving a Mercedes is like driving a bank. Of course, it might have been an S-Class but I can't recall.
A few years back, I gave my sister-in-law a ride home and she rode in the back seat. She is a person who knows and cares little about cars, let alone a Mercedes. But after about five miles she said, out of the blue, I think I'm beginning to understand why you buy these cars. And that was probably in my W202 C280.

The sturdiness is amazing, the almost agricultural 4 cylinder engines seems like it will last forever as it is still going after 14 years, in Elegance form the interior carries excellent lasting materials, somewhere I read that the dash seemed carved out of granite as it seems rock solid, it is. I don't think the W203 achieved this solidness. The W204 is now a different game all together, it feels light, the gearborx is very willing, feels more nimble yet keeping the core values of the brand.
The looks - with the AMG/Sports package it looks mean
The ride - its a merc after all
The gizmos - MM, lights etc
The grunt - especially when accelerating hard up a hill, it is addictive
The sophistication - when driving slow around town
The fact that people cannot tell it is a diesel when riding inside
The looks and stares by other road users with inferior cars

And lastly - the fact that I still look forward to driving it and will make any excuse to do so...
"The Mercedes-Benz seven-speed uses a refined, proven hydrodynamic torque converter with a special lock-up clutch inside the converter for maximum fuel efficiency. Submerged in transmission oil and using special long-life friction materials, the lockup clutch eliminates the usual torque converter "slippage," providing the direct connection and fuel efficiency of a manual transmission when the lockup clutch is engaged. Unlike many other vehicles, the Mercedes-Benz lock-up clutch engages in all seven gears."

this car has one of the deepest exhaust noises in its class and i love the sound of the engine at redline. The downfall if you are an aggressive driver.. this car GIVES OUT! its pretty annoying after like 60mph on a semi-hard turn this car just gives out and starts losing traction. I didn't get the 18 inch upgrade so those tires should help tremendously, but for now this and the brakes(sometimes) really annoy me. The brake pads are WAY too soft and sometimes you want that feeling that your car is stopping but it never gives it to you. I guess they did that on purpose.

1-Looks of myne, it shows beautiful extra curves parked under streeetlight.
2-Smooth ride in C mode.
3-Smooth accelleration through gears.
4-The lockup clutch.
5-Average consumption of 10.6L/100km, ligtest of 8.2 at 120Km/h.
6-C, S M functions, and the fact it can change to M without changing to S mode.
7-Enough power
8-Bootspace
9-Cabin space
10-AMG speedo displayes.
11-Lowered but not too low.
12-Engine keep clean because of bay design.
13-Feels solid in general.
14-The lights and all safety features.
15-Harmon Karde sound system.
