Comand secret engineering menu?
#51
Is there any way to change the color of the Comand window? When it is dark outside the color template is black and a blue\gray. During the day it switches to black and a ugly tan color. Would prefer to have it permanent on the nighttime setting.

i thought that was one of the system menu settings and you just need to set it, but i dunno if that is permanent.

Should have been multi-card slot for media that is more common, that the consumer already likely to have, and more widely available today (mmc sd ms, etc).
Why oh why not include traffic via rds in the US? Some of the worlds most busyest highways are found here.
HD radio is a personal preference over regular radio, and to an extent, satellite (no subscription fees
)
The Gui could use a facelift. Again, In My Opinion, its dated - I would prefer something similar to that found on Acura & Lexus). You are entitled to disagree.

That wasthe point of making it PCMCIA so you could use an adapter that you can use CF, SD, SDHC, MM and so on

Yeah, I accidentally hit this while doing a nav update, and it pretty much left COMAND disabled (FM radio was all that worked) and requested a system update every time I turned the car on.. I had to take it to the dealership twice, who ended up imaging my hard drive and sending it to Mercedes engineers in Berlin.. who scratched their head and told them they had no idea how to fix it. You will know it when it breaks, and it breaks hard.

I've just found out in my C220CDi NTG4 W204 that the menu option 7.7.15 does not correspond to the "Server func" as is in some versions of the firmware. I had a firmware upgrade done by my dealer some 4 months ago. I also found that it is possible to copy MP3 files either from the memory card (you need an PCMCIA adapter for this) or from the DISC (CD or DVD) to the HDD. There is no CD ripping function whatsoever (I could not find it).

depending what year u have and what headunit (audio 20, audio 50, MM+HK) the screens and engineering menu are all different. On my 2011 C350 there is NO dyno mode at all and no EQ settings. The ESP has no button and its in the dash options off the streering wheel. It also depends what updated you have had so the previous pics and sections may not work w ur car. BE CAREFUL you can screw ur car up and have to take to dealer to fix if you press the wrong menu option

Thanks for the tip everyone.
Just tried it and it works. I always found that the preset max volume was low. I was not able to find any setting to increase the AUX volume though.
Besides the volume adjustment I couldnt find any other useful things in this, did I miss anything? light was already at its highest setting. BT seems to be all accesable from the normal system access.
Any more secrets?

Lets revive this. Can anyone help with boosting the volume through these screens?

Hi
I managed to access the engineering menu and got my radio to tune in to FM 90-109
My problem is that the radio keeps on switching itself on and off every 30 sec.
Not long enough to execute any command or even change/select a station- is this normal? Any solution?
