Ipod video doesn't work. To access engineering menu push and hold Hang up, 1 and $ on the command unit. Have fun.

Yes there is. I don't remember the exact menu name but don't mess with anything that has Update in the name.

The setting to avoid at all cost is the Update Menu. Unless you know what you are doing or the have the update CDs or DVDs.

I used mine to adapt the Euro COMAND unit to my US car:
Changed DVD regin to 1
Got rid of a wired telephone that it originally had
Change the way the radio statinos appear on the display
Installed backup camera.

Is there a listing of the available engineering menu items?

Are they different in the Comand unit and in the "speedometer" display?

I just updated the Navigation with the latest DVDs, but I think I missed a step as it is not retaining the original base location? i.e. once I power down and power back-up, it does not retain the location?

went into the dealer got the Axial blower installed, got the MOST Ring reconfigured, and SCN Code versioning done - everything is fine now. However, the local dealer would not set the up my IC to receive and display the NAV data. They said that it was because they cannot install anything that was not already on the car - which seems to mean that they hit the SCN coding barrier. However, I am looking for ways to get around that at other dealers. I hope to have that feature enabled soon.

Its at the back of the COMAND unit. You have to take it out to get access to it. See the Rear view Camera threads.
