no it came as a standard option. im assuming that yours didnt come with it??? if so thats weird.... look in your settings on the instrument cluster. on the steering wheel scroll left 3-4 times till you come across setting then scroll down to convenience and youll see the folding mirrors option. click ok to enable. let me know if that works.

I just tried.. there's only "Easy Entry/Exit" under convenience and i think that only enables the steering wheel raising thing. nothing happened to the mirrors even after I enabled it.
I think euro specs have a button between the left and right mirror buttons to fold the mirrors if I remember correctly, but since we dont have that and since we dont have half the gadgets anyway, I automatically assumed we dont have folding mirrors..

manueverability of sunroof with roof rack
wondering if the sunroof is able to open fully with roof rack mounted. Im looking at purchasing the factory rack mount vs the thule rack mount and I was wondering if anybody knows if the panoramic roof is able to open fully with either.
Thanks

Pano roof is fully functional. Opens all the way with the Thule rack pictured.

The 09's don't have folding mirrors, you all got memory seats instead. I'd swap ya if I could.

You can't go wrong with Thule or Yakima. I've used both on other cars. No experience with the Benz bars. (I use my Jeep to haul my bikes and gear.)
Be careful with all the crud from your tires when your done riding. Happy trails!

Its been awhile for this thread, but I bought the Thule rack system and when I place the fit kit onto my roof, the flap that you flip open to access the roof points gets in the way of the fit kit since the flap is not flush with the roof. How did you guys get around that? Did you have to remove the flap from the roof? Thanks!

modified cross bars
I to am using the Yakimas as they seem to be structurally more solid than the Thule pieces. I had the cross bars shortened by the folks who work on my Porsches so they do not stick out of the towers and look a little more "fitted." So I use the same cross bars and fairing (44in) on the Porsche, Volvo and the w204.

Been a while...
The Thule foot is wide enough to cover the flaps as they are open so no issues at all and no need to remove them.
BTY- I sold my C class so my rack is FOR SALE.

Yakima Bike Racks
Here are some shot of my racks. I inter-change this rack with my 911 but use cross bars that I had shortened to look more custom for the 911. I will most likely be cutting these as well.
The Yakima seems more sturdy than other brands I have compared. I have carried 4 bikes up there (very expensive ones) without a worry.
