I just scanned OBD2 codes and got several codes, and the one which caught my attention was the P1381, which appears to be a Crankshaft Position Sensor (CKP) related fault code.
it would be great of you can keep us updated as to how you might end up resolving your issue.
Thanks again... and best of luck!

Thanks for the reply... I ask because I am dealing with a similar issue with my '08, Cranks, starts, runs for 1-2 seconds, then dies. Eventually it no longer cranks... And since I use the key fob (no start button, I immediately started thinking it might be EIS...

You let your car warm up 4 minutes every time you start it? Or just when it is cold? Either way, unless it is way below zero you can drive away pretty much right away. As long as you do not floor it to redline and just drive moderately, it will warm up the fastest that way and you aren't damaging anything.

but at least the temp gauge past 40c... then it's ok..

Waiting to warm it up before driving was more relevant during the era when cars were carburated. With fuel inhjection and all the electronic controls on today's cars, it is not necessary to wait. Now, if you are doing it for comfort, that's up to you

Warm engine cold gearbox-?
Sorry for the sideways remark, but while its up...
I start my car, nothing serious heard, I walk and open the gate, get in reverse out in 3 moves, close gate and drive off slowly. So it idled about 1-2 minutes.
The reason I drive off immediately, is that if I warm up the engine, then drive off, that complicated gearbox is still cold, in the old days most cars had very little power in comparison so a warm engine on cold gearbox was probably not much.
