C 200 K or C 220 cdi ? Poll
(these models are not available for Americans and Canadians and NOT need their poll please
)
the 220 CDI is really noisy. i drove both models and i recomend 200k.
advanced agility it's a must !
I use c 180 k almost 3.5 years and it has 23K

so depends on my driving dynamics it is better to choose gas but I want to try compare two 4-cylienders engines as Gas and Diesel
yes best gas models are c300-350 and diesel c320 cdi like yours
the best 4 cyl diesel engine (from vibration and noise point of view) that i have droven so far is the subaru boxer 2.0 diesel .
the 4cyl diesel engines from merc are quite noise on idle , especially when it is cold outside.

kompressor engine is nice but at high speed disturbing vacum voice in the car
someone says in new w204 mercedes isolated noisy better
and finally mercedes is finishing kompressor engines and switch to Turbo
berkut where are you from ? European ?
well , it depends on where you use your car mainly, if you use it in the city then gas, if otherwise diesel
i know that agility control is standard, but advanced agility is so much better .
these systems explained :
AGILITY CONTROL
AGILITY CONTROL suspension with selective damping system The AGILITY CONTROL suspension with selective damping system, specified as standard, raises the bar for ride comfort in this segment: Combination of selective and passive damping system Integral valve which reduces the damping force automatically in the event of weaker shocks The system works like normal shock absorbers in the event of stronger shocks In the event of heavier impacts, the level of damping provided by the system increases significantly, which, in turn, helps to stabilise the entire vehicle
Operation. The AGILITY CONTROL suspension combines the advantages of a selective damping system with those of a passive damping system. The conventional comfort-oriented spring/damper system is augmented by a stroke-dependent damping system (standard equipment). The function module in this selective damping system consists of an elastomer piston which offers the oil flow a bypass in addition to the conventional damper arrangement in the event of weaker shocks. This reduces the level of damping in the range between +/- 10 mm and significantly reduces road roar and tyre vibration as well as substantially improving the chassis' tyre/road contact characteristics without compromising on active safety. In the event of heavier impacts on the chassis, the selective damping function activates the full damping effect.
Enhanced driving pleasure at the push of a button: ADVANCED AGILITY package with special sports mode (optional extra) While the suspension adjusts to the road in the standard-fit AGILITY CONTROL, the new ADVANCED AGILITY package with special sports mode (optional extra) can also respond to the driver's mood. At the push of a button the driver can vary the vehicle characteristics between a comfortable and sporty set-up. The following parameters can be influenced: Continuously variable damping Speed-sensitive power steering with variable centring and more direct steering ratio ESP?/ASR (traction) Accelerator response Speed of automatic gear changes

Please, don't look at how many miles you drive every year, the point is counting how many miles you estimate to drive in the time you own the car.
15.000 miles X 10 years?
50.000 miles X 3 years?

Fuel consumption is also another point of view.
30% better fuel economy.
More power & performance.
Great delivery of power from huge torque advantage.
Very smooth diesel engine , no coarseness at all under heavy accelleration.
Diesel only audible in interior at idle. Very quiet at speed.
Easy to service ie change oil & filters ...oil & filters oil & filters oil & filters.....
It is noisier at idle, but once you are moving, and the car has warmed up, it is not noticeable. I'd go for the diesel any time.
I also understand that 1/3 of all W204 sold have been with the C220 CDi engine.
