Well, I will repeat! My point was that I can not order this spare part on order number, which you pointed out! So I asked, so I need this part or may be possible to do without it? Or maybe you have another code for that spare part?

That is the main head unit and yes it is needed, there are approx. 40 different head units and I cannot write all the numbers and various specs of them all, the number on the one I wrote is the EU-version I used.

He could try the part without the DVD-changer but if he cannot get the one with the changer, it would be difficult to guess if the others were available.

Optitron, have you considered ordering abroad?

help comand w204

I have currently installed an Audio 20 system on my car and I would like to upgrade Comand NTG4. Among the various components used for retrofitting is A2045409706 cable. What I no understand is whether this cable is also used for power display, or is it always necessary to make the modify on the original connector' s car, or use the appropriate adapter cable selling on Kabel Daviko site. Thanks for the replies (I need). Excuse me for bad english. Gerolamo Italy

Anyone in Canada, specifically Ontario try this, and have done it successfully?
Or know of a place where this could be done?

Thanks

Hi there, I also live in Toronto Canada. I did the retrofit on my car and have a small problem with it. Did you ever do it on your car?

Display issues after retrofit

I have replaced comand on my 09-W204 from non-nav to with nav. I'm seeing issue with the display on the monitor. The display is kind of zoomed-in and screen items are not in place, so I'm guess it's a resolution issue. I tried reseting to factory defaults via engineering menu with no result. Is there something that I'm missing? Do I need a separate monitor cable? Or Is there any setting in the engineering menu to adapt the display to new comand unit?

Though the previous one fits the new comand unit perfectly. I've a 3.5 screen display. Attaching pic with weird display.

Side note: I was not getting any sound after the installation. I changed the settings in engineering menu of Sound source : 'External amp' to 'internal'. Now I'm getting the perfect sound.

Any help in this regard is helpful.

Talking what exactly do I need for wires and how do they work

Hello all.

I got a 2009 w204 non dvd unit. It does have the 6 cd changer.

I pulled out the DVD unit, 7" screen, and the vent off a 2011 w204 and installed the DVD unit. It works for CDs and the radio.

My question is that what exactly do I need to make. The 7" screen connect to its original DVD unit on a non DVD unit car. I'm quit lost in the forms here. Any help would be great. (I'm ok with cutting wires and such)

I installed comand ngt4 on mn mb 2012 with audio 20 all work strangely enough uatan to ask erfer code or something similar but it comes in sounds! It's my car does not have a mustache contact and there was a disc from the dvd changer, because there was Harman Koerdon 5.1?

why does not sound sound? Is it going through the aunt that I do not have? Or was the comand previously mounted in a car with an external amplifier?
