It is recommended & provided by Benz with many of there cars. It's ideal for getting you out of a difficult spot especially if you are in a dangerous area or not a strong person & have difficulty changing wheels.
It's no problem for the tyre shop to clean the wheel & tyre interior & fit a tulip to plug the hole. It will do no damage to sensors.
Highly recommended.

Hang on a minute here. Having held a sensor in my hot little hand, I observed a tiny hole to admit the pressurized air to the sensor interior. Seems to me that it could be blocked by the goop.
BTW, should you buy a twice-as-expensive Porsche 997s, you not only don't get a spare but a flat rear tire won't fit in the trunk at all. So if the spray stuff doesn't plug the hole in the tire (if it's in the sidewall, for example), the car must be flatbedded to someplace that can replace the tire.
Happened to a friend's new Boxster S.

"TIREFIT tyre sealant with electric pump" kit. In fact in some markets even the B Class has no spare.
All of these cars have tyre pressure monitors.
The TIREFIT tyre sealant with electric pump package is available as an option for all models right down to the A Class.
If you have any doubts just buy the genuine MB article.
