Undo painted tints on taillights
I would like to undo the painted tints that I have done on my taillights.
Anyone knows the best way to undo it?

Buy new ones.
How did you paint them? I know there is the lens treatment that comes off with simple rubbing alcohol. Otherwise you will have to strip the paint which will most likely destroy the finish.
Sorry.

Mineral spirit is what I use a while back when I painted my T/lamps on a Camaro. the paint came off with out damaging the lamps but you will need to rub hard in order to remove the paint. Mineral spirit is sold in any hardware store....

Maybe you can trade someone rather than trying to figure out how to take it off? I've been interested in tinting but haven't made the plunge yet.

What is the better way to tint ... is it paint? or using the lamination sheet as we use for windows?
I am planning to tint headlights but local dealers use cutters to fix the lamination sheet on the edges and top which might leave scratches and sometimes deep scratches and later dust gets the room to stay.

I've used it previously to remove the tint on a set of tail lights. It polished the lights so well, that the tail lights looked brand new.
The web site for Micro Mesh is http://www.sisweb.com/micromesh/

The best way is to sand off the tint using Micro Mesh, it is a fine abrasive that works really well on plastics.

you might have to wet sand it to get it off without damaging the lens.
Rubbing alcohol will not work, you will need a much stronger solvent to remove the paint.
Why can't you sell or swap your tail lights with someone else?

you will need to wetsand the paint off.
Rubbing alcohol will not work (unless they were cheaply painted with improper paint/tint), a much stronger solvent (maybe Acetone?) will remove the tint.
A much easier option would be to swap your lights with someone else. I'm sure there's people who want your tinted tails.
