My bro had a similar problem with his RX-8. He got in a accident and had to get it worked on. The first body shop took 5 months to fix it. We got the mechanic fired and they suspended the body shop from doing any other jobs provided by the insurance company. Then the second body shop did a great job but also took a while they also got suspended until they finished. My bro got his deductable, free rental, and gas money for the 6 months he didn't have the car back. What sucked was he got in an accident the day he made his first payment! Crazy!

The service of that dealer you go to is really bad. Here in L.A. the dealers I go to will simply replace parts and I usually get it back the sameday or the next its never over 3 days. They took out my entire dash out once and got my car back the next day.

How do you patch one of those plastic bumpers?
They're totally flexi plastic.
I backed into an 80's suburu once with these big square bumper protectors.
Luckily it didn't damage his car, but it left a big square imprint on mine.
So, what they tried to fill it...then when they went to put it on, of course they flexed it,
and the filler fell out, hence the "too aggressive" comment.
I would've just demanded a new bumper from day one.
It shouldn't take more than 2 days to paint and install.
Typical dealer, cheap as_s **** BS.

I'm glad that they are giving you a new bumper. You shouldn't have to settle for anything less upon delivery of your car.
Make them pay you for the extra 2 weeks of temporary parking permits too.

Sorry I never updated anyone. I got the car back after almost a month. When I picked it up the bumper had a big chip in the paint as well as drip marks all over it. I had to wait an hour in their waiting room while they rebuffed and touched it up. I asked about getting my money for the parking passes but the receptionist said the manager would have to approve and he was "out to lunch" the entire hour+ I was there. I never bothered to follow up..not worth the hassle.

If I were you, I would never do business with that dealership again after your down with this car.... unless something spiffies up with their service dept. I nearly swore off my pontiac (RIP Pontiac line) dealership because their service was horrible the first 2 years, but they fired a lot of people, got new service reps and I was a happy customer for 5 yrs after that.
Not sure how many other MB dealers there are in the DFW area, but thats my .02
