how did it cost you to do that upgrade ?? im looking to do the same thing and what size x-pipe??

All the W210 E55 guys use these stainless steel ones, they look nicer and are half the price:

unfortunately, that seller only has 2.5" and we're 2.25".

that's all you need, 2.5 is really like 2.625 (its ID not OD).
