Eyelid lights, what are they good for?!
There has been great success in the LED eyelid light group buy, and it seems like there are a lot of people on that quest on the perfectly white lights for the eyelids.
I myself have switched my bulbs to the Polarg bulbs and have been satisfied with the color, but I realized that these eyelid lights don't really go on often.
After seeing reflections of my car in various weather and lighting conditions I don't think that they even go on when I drive. The only time I see them on would be when I unlock my car at night.
Are there any other time, or when they are supposed to be on, when the eyelid lights should be on? Are there any adjustments to have them on in other conditions or settings?

those lights are always on while you are driving... you probably didn't see it at a good angle. you can't have any other lights on unless the eyelids turn on first. unless if you high beam some1

yea when you sit somewhere for a while your head lights will turn off and your eyelids will both stay on...
you can also turn either the left or right eyelid on when u park your car using the dial on the left side of your steering wheel.

When you turn your lights on it will always turn on [two green lights on your dash will appear] however at night it turns on automatically. at least for the canadian edition

And I see lots of C350's with bluish headlights, the whole thing, including the eyelids. I don't think they are modded....theres so many of them.
and can the dealers swap them for you? I'm no good at DIY
im researching the car.

So the headlights are always on? (are the fogs on too? that always looks good)

however if the fogs are not turned on... when you make a left turn the left fog will turn on for a few seconds... and vice versa.
my eyelids are a bit yellowish although it does look nice with the HID's... i will still be swapping them out once the group buy LED's come in.

And the eyelids are very easy to do yourself. There is at least one DIY here for it. If you can change a lightbulb you can do this.

My eyelids look pretty white, but not bluish white. In fact you would almost think they were white LED's. Of course, they are brand new and will probably get a bit dimmer/more yellow over time.
I have no problem with the stock bulbs and can't see myself changing them (especially since it seems you need the hands of a 5 year old to get in there).
In Canada, the DRL's are the low beam headlights, either halogen or HID depending on the model. Doesn't matter what position you leave the headlight switch in, the low beams are on whenever the engine is running. DRL enable/disable setting is locked out in Canada since DRL are required by law.
If you leave your switch on A, and have enabled exterior surround lighting, when you turn off your car at night, the eyelids, fogs and tail lights stay on for about 30 seconds. They also turn on when you unlock the car. Cool feature.

There is a setting in the car where you can enable or disable the DRL feature. With DRL your headlights are always on, but not your fogs and not the eyelids. If you have your light switch in A (automatic) then your eyelids will turn on at night along with your tails and side markers. Fogs always have to be turned on manually unless you MacGyver them.
