I have the grey and love it. I had a 530 black with beige interior and that was a great combination. Black in the C makes, or any car it feel a lot smaller IMO.

Nah! I prefer the two tones - Black doesn't do it. But hey you are the one that has to be happy - Enjoy - Like the wood on the wheel. Prefer other woods in the range however - especially the Eucalyptus & Bird's Eye Maple. The Walnut is so old Jag - I own an old Jag.

I know these are old pics without the new cluster etc.

Cool

I have a black on black C300 Sport. I purposed in my mind to get the light grey because i thought the all black would be depressing over time, but when i noticed a model on the lot w/all black & the aluminum trim, i was sold, all black makes the aluminum trim look awesome.

For me, monotone black with black bird's eye maple and black headliner. MBTEX has already proven its worth because my kid keeps kicking my seatback.

Yeah - Markets are different - You can't give a car away with MB Tex in South Africa - No one want's it. Leather or nothing. You can only get it on the Classic by special order. Some of the farming community like it.

mb-tex or leather, all black or 2-tone black/grey...it's all personal preference...IMO, you can't lose doesn't matter what you choose...they are all good choices...
after driving the all black interior loaner c300 from my dealer for about a week, it has began to grow on me...
the only thing I realy care about is the aluminun trim b/c I still can't stand the wood trim... :p
Too bad MB doesn't offer the combo of leather door panel/trim and mb-tex seats...

Maybe I am getting old but this is the first car I have with wood trim... I think the black bird's eye maple made it an easier transition to the dark side.

i had a c350 loaner with black interior and my c350 with black/grey at the same time. didn't like the all black too much mainly because of how shiny these new material they used for dash in the 204 along with the black headliner which also made the bird's eye maple trim look too dark. I do have black interior on my C32 tho, but that's with two-tone seats and grey headliner. all black with aluminum trim would be better.

I love my C350's two-tone grey interior. Note that dirt gets visible faster, especially on the driver's seat (jeans rubbing on surface etc.).

I was going to settle with grey, but the dealership was able to divert one with all black like I initially wanted. I like my cars to be dark inside. The two-tone was a littel busy for me as well. I really like the Saks and the Cognac though.

I love it. When I get my 350 Elegance that is the only combo I will look at. It's by far the most popular Combo in South Africa (all our cars are full leather unless you buy a bottom of the range 180 Classic) All Elegance & Avantgarde cars are full leather.
I agree. Add in the burl wood with the chrome accents, and it's an extremely classy, elegant place to be. It's my favorite combo.

Here's the thing about light interiors (Grey MB tex)---They look amazing when the car is factory new, but they show dirt like crazy over the use of the car. My 2005 C230 had such an interior, and when i traded it in after 5 years, much of the grey looked brown because of everday dirt, but also from the dirt that comes off of the oils on occupant hands...

That's why I went with Black MBtex this time around on my C350--you are right, it does get hotter and coarse dirt shows up, but you won't get that "dingy" appearnce when the grey MBtex starts becoming dirty.

This is what mine looks like except the steering wheel is on the "correct" side.

At the moment, I have a loaner that has an all black interior. Seems that the black interior shows more dirt/wear or something although its got a lot less miles than mine. The loaner has 9k while I've got 32K.

Well - would you rather hide the dirt? That's feeble to say the least! Clean the darn thing. I have a 2003 two tone light grey leather upholstered Elegance. Yes it shows dirt but I clean it. See picture of seat today. No need to to let **** accumulate. I clean every few months with a wet terry towel & then Meguiar's leather cleaner/conditioner. I also try to avoid wearing dirty clothes.

It's not about dirty clothes my man---anything dirty is going to show up much easier on a light surface, that's common sense. If you have the time to constantly keep the back seats spotless--good for you. But for most other people, the gray OVER TIME will show much more dirt than black.

I don't spend my weekends cleaning my car & as you can see the upholstery is clean. I have kids & heaven knows what in the car - "OVER TIME" - My car is approaching 6 years old. No need for light upholstery to be a pain. At the same time cars do not have to be mobile pigsties. I'm of the opinion that leather is easier to keep clean than MBTex. MBTex leaches plasticiser in the sun that dirt sticks to.

Two-tone for me. It lightens up the inside and it stays cool in the summer. It's too hot here for all black.

...and in the grand scheme of things, will have a cleaner car than one that has a darker interior that never gets cleaned.

I went with gray interior primarily because coming from a larger car, I was already going to feel a bit clostophobic and the lighter color made it seem a little more open.

The black Tex interior has a very low-rent look. Depressing.

MB is not using GM leather. My C300's Beige leather seats have been cleaned (with Leatherique) no more than three times in the 1.5 years I have owned it and all the dirt (what little there is on the driver's seat) comes off 100% with minimum effort. The new leathers cannot be compared to what MB was using in the 202 or 203. My '95 C280's Saddle leather interior was much more difficult to keep dirt free.

I passed on the light colored interior due to resale, + I also like black =)

The odds of finding someone who is into the light colored leather are a good bit less then finding someone who wants black.

However, if you're trading the car in, it doesnt matter.
