Black/Grey interior.....whats your opinion?

I am looking at different interior options. The car I currently like (options and exterior color-wise) has a black and grey interior. Meaning...the seats are light grey, but the carpet is black...and the dash, etc are two toned black/grey. I cant decide if I love it yet or not. Anybody have this and whats your opinion?

Love it.

It looks classy and not as boring as pure black.

That's what I have and I love it. All black in Florida would have been miserable and the beige was never an option (horrible looking).

Another round of ICE
Another vote for grey/black....more unique, more interesting, feels like a larger space with the lighter color, won't get as hot in the summer, gets more positive comments from newcomers...I would not trade it for all black

Our W204 has the same, reasonably light grey seats but the lower part of the interior black. It gives a lot of light inside, makes the interior look bigger (still looks small) but in my opinion it is too light for myself, it would get dirty too easily and would not look nice any more. But when the wife is mostly driving, then the light colour is fine.

This is pretty much the same as a two-tone interior we have in Europe for the S-class.

personally like black on black. the grey makes it look... 'cheap' and plasticy IMO.

Pick the black maple wood trim too with the all black interior. I got this and it is very nice.

Maybe this can help? I prefer a lighter color ceiling though.

Beware of light colored leather.... I learned this lesson on a taupe leather sofa and am relearning this lesson on my 07 Avalanche. If you are going MB text then it doesn't really matter all though you should look at how the black seat belts look on the light grey rear seats.

The Black Grey combo in full leather is the classiest interior available on the W204. Lifts the interior from downright boring to fabulous - must be full leather.

I love it. When I get my 350 Elegance that is the only combo I will look at. It's by far the most popular Combo in South Africa (all our cars are full leather unless you buy a bottom of the range 180 Classic) All Elegance & Avantgarde cars are full leather.

A local newspaper car columnist described the C Class interior ( black /grey)as less interesting than the inside of a black polythine garbage bag.
I think that it will stand the test of time & will not date as much as others.

I personally like the two tone layout of the SAKS 2008 C-class. Very similar to the Gray/Black two tone interior but with the difference in that the entire dashboard is black. If they did this same layout with gray I certainly would have purchased the gray two tone. The major thing that held me back was the dash being two tone. Just throws it off to me.

In fairness I would also go for a Grey two tone - That's what I have on my 203 & love it. People always admire it.

Gotta love the Aussie humour

What the D-ckhead got wrong was his comment actually applies to the all black interior.

Guys...thanks. Ultimately I decided to go with a black MB tex....I do like the darker feel inside the car. Ultimately what made my decision was the fact that the indoor bulbs are a bit blue-ish/white (almost like zenon lol) and it looks fantastic against an all black interior.

I picked my car up yesterday

C350
Steel Grey w/ all black interior
P2
MM
18" AMG 5 spoke wheels
Ipod Integration

Thanks for your opinions though...a few actually helped me

Color schemes are all subjective. Don't act childish and instead celebrate another MB enthusiasts to the ranks.
