DVD In Motion - Actual Program Language for our Radio
I can only assume the DVD In Motion topic has been beat to death. I have found some modules that you can add to your car which allows you to play video while you are in motion. I see this as us adding hardware to our systems in order to reach our goal.
I want to change the software instead. I am a computer science major, and all we do is write code. I wanted to know if there is a way to where I can see the written program which determines how this multimedia package works? I would wanna see if the code is writable so I can write new code in to allow video output while the car is in motion.

I can hack stuff too.. I think all we need is the files from a US spec navi and one from Europe then we can compare the differences.. let me know what you find...
We can start by allowing the Navi to enter a destination while in motion.... Then move on to allow DVD playback...
I somehow doubt it will be easy but we'll try...

Good luck, I doubt you will get it to work. Most likely a simple Yes or No (1 or 0 whatever)in a field in a config file but which field and which file?

Can I add something to the wishlist? See if there is something simple like a CSS or config file that specifies the color scheme? I'd love to replace some of the cat pee with blue.

Same here actually, I'd love to change the day colours to night colours (but then a little more bright and light)

Oh, man, I wish I had some kind of skills to do this kind of stuff. Is this just something a guru can do, or can clueless neophytes like me do it? ![Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/rolleyes.gif)
I'll be watching this thread with interest...

Hrm..
Ok - I've updated LoadingView to read the HB2 format used in firmware updates by Merc.
The system used is pretty much identical to the NR261 units installed in Mitsu's own brand cars ( and rebadged ones like the C-Crosser).
The dvd-in-motion software patch appears to be identical, as does the region-free dvd code..
The next problem is producing a simple upgrade method..
I've posted the Hard-Drive passwords here if anyone wants to have a shuftie.. The unlocking process is posted on mitsubishiforums.
Interestingly , it may be possible for them to use your maps - when was your last update ?
atb.

Is this dead?
I have some downtime next week before I start my residency, and I wanna play too![Smilie](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
I'm sure it's a lot easier to plug in the module, but if this hdd/unit is Windows based then DVD in motion is only part of a very long list of variables.
Has anyone removed the HDD from the NTG4 yet? Plugged it into a PC?
That may be my first task on Tuesday (unless I'm getting ahead of myself)
TB
PS: Any chance our friends at Midcity could give us some heads up
