Really isn't this why we do most (if not all) of our cosmetic mods to stand out from the crowd? Anyone remember the forum member from Vietnam with the bright yellow C300? Not to many people liked it but it did stand out from the crowd and all who were around last year remember the car.

Well...there's standing out tastefully and standing out like a sore thumb

But one thing I'll say Ron, the community as a whole appreciates those who takes a chance on trying new stuff for everyone to see. Some work, some don't, but it's a necessary process. Some have to take the lead

i am way too creative for my own good... so i will always want to stand out...

but would i risk something that looks good so that people look over at my car on some shock value type ish... hell nah...

im not about attention whoring my car like that...

i mean if he said "i like the second grille more than the first one" i could understand that... but if it's just to stand out... then that is retarded.

A single strip SL/CL grill is nothing comparable to a bright yellow C from Vietnam.

yea i've never seen that car... im sure it was...uhh... "cool"... and i'm not arguing what is more or less of a shock value.

the principle is the same... always be different and look good while doing it. it's easy to tell when people try to hard.. whether it be on a honda or a benz.

I looked more carefully at #2, it has a solid background to the star, painted gloss black. Makes it look very much like a toy. Replace that with mesh, tone down the rest of the mesh, and it might go very well with that yellow/orange car!

LOL

Creative? One thing I agree with you I like the second grill more than the first one, and if you don’t want to stand out from the crowd Mod’s are not for you.

nah you don't understand still...

and i don't mod the car so that i can be different... i am different and that is reflected in my car.

i mean the 2nd grill looks soo inferior... like a painted on benz logo on black gloss plastic... 1 thick shiny chrome fin that after lookin at the logo i would assume was plastic and mesh that i could get my fingers stuck in.

but for the sake of being different... yea make that 50,000 car look like pee wee herman drives it.
