That what I was thinking. 45mpg would be nice! Is that average for you or were you babying the gas and riding a drift the whole way?
He has been quite the thread crapper lately. Maybe he's trying to get his post count up...

Diesels are pretty sweet. I am in Germany/Czech Republic for a couple weeks schleping around in a Volvo XC60 Diesel...they didn't have my A Class available...and damn the parking is tight. I have driven 580KM running about 150-180KMH on most of the Autoban and creeping around in lots of traffic in Prague and I still have well over a quarter tank. Not to shabby considering the diesel provides great pickup to get around traffic at speed and is really hard to beat around town.

HI guys
C220 cdi diesel. I do about 30k mile every year so because of the price of fuel I have to have an oil burner. I've had my share of faster things - imprezza sti and the like. My c220 is chiped to 200bhp and though no rocket ship has a handy turn of speed. This trip was a real mixture of driving - motorways, back roads and some town driving in q's and I wasn't really that light on the right pedal. Since my last service the car has averaged 42.6 - 10k miles ago.
Sad I know that I'm talking about MPG - I used to talk about MPH and 0-60 times - I must be getting old - but not homosexual!!

Micropower 99 has had too much to drink again ?. He can make sensible statements when he is not stoned.

yeah, im not that impressed with the figures - i wish they had used shorter gears for 5 and 6th because 7th is way too tall and is almost the same as 6th - give it a little more highway pep!

Correct.
one US gallon == .83 Imperial gallon || one Imperial gallon == 1.2 US gallons
So 45 mpg(imperial) == 37 mpg(US)
or something like that...
