DIY - HID Fog light installation without cutting OEM bulb holder(DDM tuning HID kit )
"The other thing I did not like about my fogs was that they are halogen housings and the HID light scatters everywhere and would light up the faces on cars I was passing until there were completely behind the fog light. The bulb sticks out all the way to the glass and has nothing in front of the arc to help "project the light in a specific direction."
can anybody comment on this? planning to get some but not if i have to turn them on and off to prevent blinding oncoming traffic
So in case you can't see it in the picture, this bulb is a direct swap. Much cleaner and OEM looking then OP's setup.
I am in the process of installing fog HIDs and retrofitting lowbeam HIDs, so will take more (and better) pictures later on. Still waiting for a new headlight covers to come in so I can keep OEM ones in case I need to go stock.

Here's the link for the adapters. You can see Frnakito71's review at the bottom!

I bought it on ebay, I won't post ebay links because they tend to expire.
The ebay store name is mtecpower. I have contacted them asking what is the difference between their $220 kits and $300 kits that they market as MB specific, they said that $300 kits have special ballasts that cancel out "bulb out" error. So if you do get MTEC get the ones they advertise as MB specific. Also don't forget to mention the "AMG foglight bulb"
Also you can do a Best Offer and save on shipping, they won't accept anything lower then that, just don't hit Buy Now button, save few bucks.
It looks like www.onspire.com is their website but they don't sell from there.
The person I dealt with was Steve and his email is steve@onspire.com.
