Got my new wheels installed today
I finally pulled the trigger and picked up a set of C63 wheels. Got my car back from the dealer today and I'm pretty happy with the result. Much more aggressive than the 17" 6 twin-spoke wheels. I'll be using the 17's for my winter set. The slight difference in offset added to the .5" wider wheels all around makes a big visual difference in the stance of the car. I'll post some comparison pics when I can find some similar shots of the two.
I haven't had a chance to drive it hard yet, but I'm hoping that the wider stance and extra rubber on the road helps in the turns and further minimizes the already minimal understeering.
Let me know what you think. Also, I want to thank OverBudget for the hookup on a great set of wheels.

Yeah the fronts are OE P-Zero's and the rear were replaced. Fairly common with C63's to chew threw 2-3 sets of rears before needing to replace the fronts. Wish that was a problem I had... I'll be buying new rubber all around fairly soon. Going to burn the rears up a bit first.

Working on the grille. Going to put my sport grille back on for summer. I have two lux grilles and I'm painting one black. Just can't decide what to do with the emblem on the grille. Leave it chromed, paint it black, sand & fill it? I guess I'll have all summer now to decide.

Thanks! But don't you think it would look better with a strut brace installed?
Thanks micro, I debated doing some aftermarket wheels but in the end opted for an OE setup. Something about that appealed to me. It's a good route to go. Although when I see pics of some HRE's and MRR-GT1's I'm sure I'll start thinking...
Around $2k OTD with wheels, shipping, new sensors installed and mount/balance. I do like the lux grille with this setup, but I'll like the Sport grille more. I'll probably be doing the lux grille in the winter w/ my 17's and then the 18's & sport grille for summer.
Thanks TB5! It is a clean setup. The lux grille gives it a classic look, albeit a slightly less bold one. Almost reminds me of a mini-S Class. MN does require a front plate. I'm just pushing my luck.
Right on. Doing anything other than wheels? I think I recall you talking about springs for your 4-matic.
Your recent mods are looking pretty sick as well!
Thanks AZN!

Thanks. Love your tails lights! I picked up some trim covers a while ago to paint black and install to make sure I like them with my color paint. If so I'll probably have them painted like yours. Your tails are painted correct?

Congrats; good setup. Picking up a set of C63 wheels was one of the best (albeit expensive) purchases I've made so far. You'll find that it's much easier to clean the wheels and apply that much needed wheel wax.
