H&R Super Sports

Looking to lower my C350 sport on the 18" AMG Wheels. What do you recommend, Sport or Super Sports? Eventually changing to C63 19" Replicas. Can I see some pics on Super Sports 19" or 18 "?

Depends...supersports look great but some members have rubbing issues with passengers in the back. The safer route is to go with the sports and change ur rear spring pads. I've yet to do mine, but im most likely going with that setup.

^+1 Yep.

For "2 seater" driving, go with supersports.
For "4 seater" driving, go with sports and change the rear spring pads.

also depends on your wheel and tire size and offsets. If you're tucking, you shouldn't really have issues in the rear.

I guess if you are using 18", sports should look ok. If you are using 19", then you probably would want to go with supersports. By the way, the car handles very well now with the supersports, totally loving it.

What would you guys recommend?

H&R Sport with the 5mm spring pad or just
H&R Super Sports

I am on the stock 18" AMG wheels btw

Because I had heard that with Super Sports, the front seems to be higher than the rear which would make it look a bit awkward.

Rear Spring Pads

What is the purpose for changing the rear spring pads? Don't mean to be so ignorant but i am clueless about the rear spring pads. Where would I purchase the spring pads, at the same place where I get the springs?

get them at the dealership. they are cheap, less than $25 i think. there are only 2 (rear)...can't change the fronts.

Changing the rear spring pads to the 5mm would make the back lower by 8mm

does that make it look uneven?

or is the front lower already than the back?

Other members have said it makes the car look more level. I have not done it myself. Ours cars have the a slightly higher rear which i personally dislike.

Most Cs have the tail in the air kinda look. It is more a function of low hood/high trunk and the character line on the side sweeping upward than it is of the structure of the car actually being higher in the back. Dropping the back a bit reduces the visual appearance of the back being higher. It is not the absolute best thing to do for aerodyamics but and 8mm drop would likely not make any difference...at least below about 150mph or so...
The 5mm spring pads run about $4 apiece at the dealer.

How many mm are the original spring pads? Also, I called the dealer today and the guy told me that the part was called the schims, is that true? He could not pull the part by the name spring pads. Let me know. He also quoted me $26 a pad or schim. Help is greatly appreciated.

So will you need the 5mm spring pad if you go with the super sports? I would imagine the front would be lower than the front. Am I wrong?
